Train Ride to Washington, D.C.!

In August, Mommy and I took an impromptu trip to see Daddy in Arlington. It was our first time traveling without Daddy, so we opted to take the train – my first ever ride on a real train! We spent most of the time in the snack car, watching Thomas the Tank Engine, eating, and playing with toys, then we went back to our seat for nap time.

Mommy and I went to the National Mall; it’s still under construction, but I really like to see the excavators!

I wasn’t allowed to play in the water at the World War II Memorial, but I still found ways to have fun. Mommy says that one day I will appreciate it as a place of reverence… whatever that means!

After we finished at the memorial, we headed back toward the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum, but not without a few stops first!

Oh my gosh, this museum is great! There are airplanes and helicopters inside! Can you believe it?

I had so much fun and I can’t wait until our next trip!
