We started off Halloween this year with our annual trip to Farmer Ganyard’s pumpkin patch. We took a hayride to a corn maze, played in the hay maze, haystack, and corn crib, and of course, picked some pumpkins!
Far enough, son!
Can’t catch me!
Through the hay stack!
Pumpkins are still heavy!
Of course, we had to carve the pumpkins, too! Mommy made a ghost, Daddy made a Jack-o-lantern, and I made a bat on my white pumpkin!
First, you take out the guts.
Then you stab the pumpkin a bunch.
And you poke in the pieces.
And voila, carved pumpkins!
Of course my favorite part was lighting them every night!
And last but not least, there were costumes! I was a scarecrow for my playgroup Halloween party, Buzz Lightyear for the neighborhood festival & kids’ parade, and we all dressed as dinosaurs for trick-or-treating.
Lined up for trick-or-treating with my play group.
No trip to Pullen Park is complete without a ride on the carousel!
I really enjoyed festival games this year.
I tried my best at the witch hat ring toss.
Got a strike at ghost bowling!
And I got a prize from the Poke-A-Pumpkin!
