We started May off at a Durham Bulls game. It was Star Wars night, so there were lots of people in costume and some fun activities. I really like going to baseball games because I get to eat junk food for dinner!
Mmm mmm Italian Ice.
Princess Leia and Chewbacca made an appearance.
Kylo Ren struck down the winner – oh no!
Here are some young fans chasing Wooly Bull/Han Solo with light sabers. Maybe one day I’ll get to run around on the field!
Mmm mmm popcorn!
And Ice Cream!
You have to get every popped kernel!
I love misters!
Riding a Durham Bull.
Mommy and I went on our first field trip together – a fire station tour! We got to see where the firefighters train, relax, eat, and sleep. One of the firefighters showed us how they put on all of their equipment. And of course, we got to see the fire truck in action!
At this station, the fire fighters have private rooms, but they do have to share it with people on other shifts.
Logan, Jeff, and I really liked the big comfy chairs for watching training videos and movies.
Waiting patiently for my chance in the fire truck!
Connor, Maddie, and I.
Fire fighters have to put on a lot of gear!
He got dressed faster than I did this morning :-).
Ladder truck in action.
There’s lot of equipment stored on the fire truck, too!
Daddy, Mommy, and I went to the Got to Be NC Festival, where I rode my first roller coaster. I also rode a pony, played some carnival games, and I’m pretty sure I found tractor heaven.
No trip to the fairgrounds is complete without a walk on the old railroad tracks!
First stop – tractors!
I love driving tractors :).
Mommy and I in the Iron Man helicopter.
Daddy and I on the dragon roller coaster.
Weeeeee some more!
That’s a big Ferris Wheel!
Mommy and I in a gondola.
Guys, guys, do you see all these tractors?!?!
At last, a tractor I can really drive!
I also rode a pony 🙂
The goal of this game is to get the horseshoe onto the post.
Mommy and I took a walk around the lake to look for baby birds with my new binoculars. We found some goslings, ducklings, and some other wildlife, too!
a turtle doing yoga,
and a snake!
Here are the goslings!
And the great blue heron even made an appearance!
And saving the best for last, Uncle Michael came to visit us for Memorial Day Weekend! The weather wasn’t that great, but we had a lot of fun at the bowling alley!
Playing air hockey with Uncle Michael.
This is how it’s done!
My first time bowling at a big bowling alley!
Daddy helped me out.
Stay in, stay in, stay in!
53 – not too shabby!
